Pont Alexandre III located on the seine river in Paris France is Pont Alexandre III. This deck arch bridge spans over the river and is roughly 160 m in length. The bridge connects together the Champs Elysees quarter as well as the Invalides quarter with the Eiffel Tower. The bridge is one of the most exquisite in all of Paris and is classified as an official French monument.

The bridge which is designed in a Beaux arts French architecture style is known for its brilliant lamps as well as the various winged horses, cherubs and nymphs that make up the construction of the bridge. The range was created in the year 1900 and the name of the bridge comes from the Tsar under the name Alexander III. The son of this ruler Nicholas the second actually laid the first foundation stone to honor his father in the year 1896.

The bridge was to be opened in time for the world’s fair and the numerous cultures across the bridge have become icons. The bridge has been a regular occurrence point in many films and stories and it remains one of the most important sites in Frances tourism effort.
